Journey towards Inversions Workshops

H&H no discount.png

These are TWO deep-dive sessions into inversions, designed to give you the time, clarity, and confidence that is often missing in regular classes.

You may choose to do both or only one of them.

These workshops are ideal for students with some yoga or movement experience, even if you have never practiced inversions before. You do not need to already be “good at” going upside down—just curious, open, and willing to explore.

In many yoga classes, there simply isn’t enough time to fully break down inversions. When they are taught, instructions are often geared toward naturally flexible bodies, leaving many practitioners unsure how to approach these shapes safely and confidently.

As a result, many long-time yoga students have never been shown how to work with inversions in a way that truly suits their body—sometimes because their teachers don’t practice inversions themselves, or because they haven’t been taught how to teach them.

The two biggest obstacles to inversions are FEAR and LACK OF CONFIDENCE. In this workshop, we will gently and methodically work with both.

My intention is to demystify inversions by breaking down how they actually work, and by exploring how different bodies may need different approaches. You’ll learn the mechanics of inversions and discover the most supportive and effective way for your body to enter, hold, and exit the poses.

What we'll explore

  • A clear introduction to inversions: WHY we practice them and HOW they work

  • Finding balance and understanding weight distribution - using legs and hips and head as counterweights.

  • Common body considerations when entering inversions and how to work with them skilfully

  • Cultivating the right mindset for going upside down

  • A targeted yoga flow to prepare the body and deepen awareness

  • How to safely and confidently fall out of inversions

  • Entering inversions for different body types

  • Exploring a variety of inversion shapes

  • Easier and more challenging variations, so you can meet yourself where you are

This is an informative yet playful workshop, created to remove the mystery around inversions and offer a clear, supportive path toward practicing them with confidence and curiosity.

Current Group Class Programme

Flow Yoga - Strengthen & De-stress (60 Minutes)

This is an energising 60 minute Flow (Vinyasa) yoga class that works on linking several poses together while focusing on breath and technique.

The class always includes a brief centering and gentle warm-up, a series of sun salutations ("true warm-up") and a flow of standing and seated poses carefully designed either to lead to a peak pose or related to a specific topic. We end the class with a deep relaxation (savasana or yoga nidra). Every class is different though we often develop specific themes over a number of weeks.

This class is suitable for most students, but not absolute beginners to yoga/movement, as you will need to have the mobility to get up and down from the floor with ease.

Regular attendance at this class will help you improve strength and range of motion, as well as core stability and balance. In addition to these physical benefits, you'll feel more calm and relaxed.

Flow Yoga - Strengthen & De-stress (90 Minutes)

This is an energising 90 minute Flow (Vinyasa) yoga class that works on linking several poses together while focusing on breath and technique and includes a period of deeper practice.

The class includes centering, gentle warm-up, a series of sun salutations and a flow of standing and seated poses carefully designed to lead to a peak pose, all this lasting around 50 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of deeper practice/playtime for more advanced poses or movements (options will be given) before the final cooldown and relaxation. Each class is different though we may focus on the same peak pose for a number of weeks.

This is a class for yoga lovers. Previous yoga/movement experience is helpful as you will need to be able to move through sun salutations comfortably (i.e. plank, down dog, cobra and a forward fold).

Regular attendance will allow you to work towards or improve more advanced poses, refine technique and keep developing mind-body awareness, as well as strength, flexibility and lightness in body and mind.

In all of my classes, my aim is for students to get a true understanding of the poses, to improve technique and therefore facilitate the deepening of each and every pose. This always translates into increased strength and flexibility. Once the body understands where it needs to go, it will take you there without compensating or taking shortcuts. My hope is that you always leave the class having learned something new and that you keep developing confidence in your practice and yourself.

My class is a welcoming space to playfully move and connect with body and breath. Plenty of options are given throughout the class. By the end you will feel energised yet nurtured at the same time.
