Workshops

During regular classes, I feel I do not have enough time to teach, with enough level of detail, some of the more complex poses, such as arm balances and inversions. I therefore explore them in depth in a workshop format. Inversions especially, are intricate poses; requiring a greater degree of technique, awareness and control for their execution.

My aim with these workshops is for students to gain understanding and confidence, so we never feel out of place in a yoga class.

If you have been practising yoga for a while, but these poses seem to elude you, if you are comfortable with some of them but not with others, or if you are intimidated by all of them and you would like proper guidance, or you just simply would love to deepen your understanding of these poses, then these workshops are for you. These sessions are inclusive and aimed to cater for different levels.

I also run themed workshops along with other professionals whose line of work complements our yoga practice. The menopause yoga in November will include a nutrition talk by a menopause nutritionist, guidance about midlife from a leadership coach and also advice from an osteopath who specialises in women's health.

Workshop sessions & dates

16.05.26 HANDSTAND FOUNDATIONS WORKSHOP

13.06.26 ARM BALANCE PLAYGROUND WORKSHOP

11.07.26 INVERSION LAB: HEADSTAND AND FOREARM BALANCE ESSENTIALS

19.09.26 ARM BALANCE PROGRESSIONS WORKSHOP

10.10.26 HANDSTAND PROGRESSIONS WORKSHOP

14.11.26 MENOPAUSE YOGA WORKSHOP (10 am to 1 pm)

The last workshop is suitable for all students, including those new to yoga and will feature collaborations with a menopause nutritionist, a leadership coach and an local osteopath who specialises in women's health.

The rest are ideal for those who already have an existing yoga/movement practice, but not necessarily an existing arm balance or inversions practice and are wanting to explore these families of poses with a playful and curious attitude under experienced guidance, always with options, progressions and an emphasis on awareness, safety and self trust. The sessions will always be tailored to those attending.

Times

11 am to 2 pm

Workshops are generally 3 hours long, however in the case of inversions we will NOT be going upside down for 3 hours -there will be a short lecture with explanations about technique and the challenges we may face, a warm up and long flow to build awareness and control, and then playful time to give ourselves the chance to practice these amazing poses and their variations, with breaks and stretches in between, followed by a cool down and a long relaxation.

I want time for informative workshops, where discussions are encouraged and where we allow not only for playtime, but also for breaks when you need them.

What clients say

“Thank you so much for welcoming me into your studio and yoga space. You create an incredibly warm, kind, open and focused space when you teach. It was joyous to feel so feel so at ease in a new class, and it meant that I was able to take so much more from the session. I really enjoyed your approach and found the discussion about what to focus on and the warm up incredibly helpful of my handstand practice. Then the "play time" with all your different suggestions for variations to help work on various aspects of the handstand were brilliant. I am gutted I cannot come to the arm balance foundations session as I'm sure it will be brilliant.” - Naomi (Handstand Foundations, May 2026)
