Why practise with me?
I am a yoga educator whose deepest wish, for you and for myself, is to always keep learning, improving and evolving. My aim is that through my classes, you discover how to build strength, courage, trust and confidence in your body and in yourself.
Beyond "performance yoga"
If you are unimpressed with the often showy or performance-led culture around yoga, so am I. Instead, come to a no-frills practice with a passion for learning, and start looking at poses differently.
Where the feelings in the poses that you have done many times before are new. Where the purpose is always progress, not perfection. Where ever-increasing awareness leads the way. Where we are not bound by the rush of time, because yoga is a lifelong journey.
You will enjoy practising with me if any of the following resonates with you:
-
You've been doing yoga for a while but feel your progress has stalled.
-
You want to understand how and why poses work, not just where to place your body.
-
You're looking for a deeper understanding of breath, movement and technique.
-
You enjoy being challenged to feel, explore and develop your practice.
-
You value a focus on progress rather than performance.
-
You appreciate feeling welcome and cared for as you learn.
How you will develop
You will learn clear, precise technique, that will become the essence of your practice. Your body will become your own best teacher, because only then can transformation happen. You will meet obstacles, but skilfully learn to move beyond them.Experiencing the connection between body, breath and movement will take you to a place of inner peace and stillness.
You will gain a true understanding of the poses, improve technique, build strength and develop a practice that continues to evolve over time. With deeper understanding comes greater confidence, independence and trust in your body and in yourself.
What to expect in class
We always approach the practice with a sense of curiosity and playfulness, within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. My yoga flows are dynamic enough to challenge you, yet slow enough to cultivate increasing awareness, which along with consistency is the foundation for growth.
Where to start
If this sounds like the kind of yoga you have been looking for, you can practise with me through group classes, workshops, focused one-to-one sessions or online courses. Explore these options and choose the way of practising that feels right for you.
